02Age boundary

Cain is intended for adults aged 18 and above. We may record an age statement, eligibility response, account history, or limited verification signal to apply that rule, investigate suspected minor access, and meet platform requirements. Anyone under 18 must not register or use Cain.

No online age gate can ensure that every person provides a truthful age. If minor access is reasonably suspected, we may restrict features, preserve proportionate safety information, and close the account subject to legal and safety duties.

03Information made through use

Account and profile

Depending on your sign-in choices, we may handle an account or profile identifier, email or phone number, authentication and recovery details, display name, declared age, language, region, profile image, biography, interests, settings, and eligibility signals.

Messages, media, and calls

We process text, selected photos or videos, voice messages, support conversations, reports, and other material you choose to submit. During a one-to-one audio or video session, live media is processed to connect participants. Session identifiers, timing, duration, connection quality, and diagnostic events may accompany the session. A recipient can preserve a communication using tools outside Cain.

Device and safety signals

Our systems and service providers may receive IP address, app and device identifiers, device model, operating system, language, time zone, network type, access times, feature events, crash and diagnostic details, reports, blocks, security events, and an approximate location inferred from an IP address.

Advertising and Google Play

Where advertising is enabled and permitted, the Android Advertising ID, limited device details, approximate location, and ad interactions may support delivery, frequency controls, fraud prevention, and measurement. Google Play processes payment credentials. We may receive item, transaction, purchase, entitlement, refund, and status information, but not a full card number or Google account password.

04Android capabilities

Optional capabilities are requested in context. You can deny or revoke them through Android settings, although a related feature may stop working.

CapabilityHow Cain may use it
CameraTransmits video during a call or captures profile and message media when you choose the feature.
Microphone and audioTransmits voice in an audio or video session and creates a voice message after activation.
Photos, video, and media pickerLets you select and share media you choose. Legacy storage is used only where technically required by an older Android release.
Notifications and vibrationSignals messages, calls, account events, safety notices, support replies, and purchase updates according to your settings.
Internet and network stateConnects sessions, delivers content, detects connectivity changes, and supports service reliability.
Advertising IDSupports ad delivery and measurement where advertising is enabled and lawful.

Camera and microphone content is not used to select advertising. These sensors are not intentionally activated unless you choose a call, voice-message, or capture feature that needs them.

05Purposes for processing

  • open, authenticate, recover, maintain, and protect accounts;
  • make profiles, discovery, text, selected media, voice messages, and one-to-one calls available;
  • keep Google Play purchases, refunds, and entitlements accurate;
  • run diagnostics, analytics, permitted advertising, support, and service tools;
  • identify spam, fabricated accounts, scams, fraud, harassment, exploitation, unlawful material, and attacks;
  • review reports and appeals and apply the Terms of Use and Child Safety Policy; and
  • send service, security, support, transaction, and policy messages or meet a legal duty.

Depending on the activity and where you use Cain, a legal basis may be contract performance, consent, a legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service, a legal obligation, or an emergency vital interest.

06Recipients and disclosures

  • the other user involved when you choose to expose a profile, message, media item, or call;
  • vendors that provide hosting, sign-in, real-time connectivity, delivery, moderation, analytics, support, security, or fraud controls;
  • Google Play and payment partners for distribution, billing, entitlements, refunds, and transaction risk checks;
  • advertising or measurement partners when the feature is enabled and applicable consent or opt-out rules are satisfied;
  • authorities or qualified safety bodies when law, valid process, an illegal-content concern, or imminent serious harm calls for disclosure; and
  • a successor or transaction party in a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer subject to confidentiality protections.

We do not exchange personal information for money. Depending on local law, advertising disclosures may be classified as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; eligible users can use available controls or contact us.

07Transfers, retention, and security

Service providers may handle Cain information in countries other than where you live. When required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards suited to the information and transfer risk.

Records remain while they serve an operational, account, safety, fraud, dispute, legal, or backup purpose. Tax, accounting, transaction, refund, and chargeback records may remain for the period required by law. Safety, report, enforcement, and security material may remain while reasonably needed to protect users or meet a legal duty. Information that no longer reasonably identifies a person may be kept in de-identified form.

Access controls, encryption in transit, logging, monitoring, provider review, and incident response are examples of safeguards used here. No internet service can promise perfect security. The Cain Account Deletion page describes deletion and limited retention; suspension is not deletion.

08Choices and rights

You can edit available profile settings, revoke Android permissions, reset or delete the Advertising ID through device settings, report or block users, and request account deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, obtain portability, withdraw consent, opt out of qualifying advertising disclosures, or appeal a denied request.

We may verify identity and limit a request where law permits to protect another person, preserve safety evidence, or prevent fraud. Contact ishamescovar@gmail.com for privacy questions.

09Children and updates

Cain is not directed to children and does not permit anyone under 18 to hold or use an account. If we learn of minor access, we may restrict or close the account and delete associated information subject to safety, reporting, evidence-preservation, and other legal duties. The Child Safety Policy explains CSAE standards, reporting, enforcement, and the designated contact.

We may update this Policy when Cain, providers, safety practices, or applicable law changes. Material changes receive additional notice where required. This version is effective October 09, 2026.
