A zero-tolerance safety standard
Child Safety Policy
Effective date: October 09, 2026
01Who may use Cain
Cain is intended for people aged 18 and above. A person below 18 must not create an account, appear in a profile, exchange messages, or join an audio or video session. Age controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every user is truthful, so reports, blocks, review, and enforcement also matter.
If you think someone may be a minor, stop the conversation, use the block control, and report the account. Do not ask the person for identity documents or investigate them yourself.
02CSAE and CSAM are forbidden
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) includes grooming, sexual solicitation, coercion, trafficking, sexual extortion, or attempts to arrange sexual contact with a child. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means any image, video, live transmission, or other depiction of sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.
- Do not sexualize a child or request sexualized words, photos, video, or live conduct.
- Do not use a profile, message, call, or another person's account to groom, threaten, blackmail, or recruit a minor.
- Do not create, request, upload, possess, store, sell, trade, or distribute CSAM.
- Do not evade an age or safety restriction by moving a conversation elsewhere.
Never download, copy, forward, or email suspected CSAM.
03How to report and block
Open the relevant profile or conversation, choose the report control, select a child-safety reason, add facts that help locate the account, and submit. Use the block control to stop contact while a report is reviewed.
Subject: Cain Child Safety Report
Describe what happened, when it happened, and which account or conversation is involved without attaching illegal material. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
04Review and protective action
We may review available account, profile, message, call, report, and device-safety information; restrict contact or visibility; remove material; preserve evidence; suspend or terminate an account; and block attempts to return. Notice may be limited when telling a reported person would create risk or interfere with a review.
When facts and law support it, a concern may be referred to service providers, professional advisers, law enforcement, child-protection bodies, or another competent authority. We cooperate with valid legal requests and preserve limited evidence when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal duties. A report is not a promise of a particular result or timeline.
05External resources and legal duties
People in the United States may also use the NCMEC CyberTipline (external official reporting website) for a suspected online child-exploitation concern. Outside the United States, use the appropriate local authority. We do not claim that every report is sent to one global agency; escalation depends on facts, location, law, and available process.
The Privacy Policy describes safety-information handling. The Terms of Use prohibit harmful conduct and explain account enforcement.

07Updates and account removal
We may revise this page when Cain's features, safety controls, providers, or legal duties change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Account removal is explained on the Account Deletion page; closing an account does not erase a report or defeat a lawful evidence-preservation requirement.
